QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY

DİTAŞ Deniz Isletmeciligi ve Tankerciligi A.S. undertakes in accordance with the policies determined within the framework of Quality, Environment and Safety Management Systems given below:
  • to conform to the requirements of I.M.O. Resolution A741/18 as amended MSC 104(73)
  • The International Safety Management Code, ISO 9001(2008) Quality, ISO 14001 (2004) Environment Standards and Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA) Program,
  • to provide safe practices in ship operations and safe working environment,
  • to establish safeguards against all identified risks; and continuously improve the Safety, Quality and Environment Management skills of personnel ashore and aboard, including preparing for emergencies related both to safety and environmental protection,
  • to prevent human injury or loss of life and avoid of the damage to the environment,
  • to satisfy the company's objectives to attain and maintain the desired quality and safety standards,
  • to provide environmentally friendly practices in ship operation, pollution free working environment and zero spill,
  • Commitment to comply with relevant environmental national, international legislation, regulations and with other requirements to which the organization subscribes,
  • to explain duties and responsibilities of all company and ship personnel associated with environmental protection according to current procedures and to ensure the implementation of them,
  • to carry out risk assessments and take necessary measures and precautions,
  • Commitment to the continual improvement of Management System and prevention of environmental pollution by periodically setting the targets, following performance, analyzing incidents, identifying root causes and revising procedures accordingly,
  • to review Management System in a planned manner for provision of the continuity of conformity and effectiveness of it,
  • to provide all necessary resources including maintaining of optimum spare parts inventory on the vessels for continuous improvement of the management system,
  • to ensure quality of each operation and service in order to keep the customer satisfaction at utmost level.
This policy is documented, implemented, maintained and communicated to all persons working for and on behalf of the organization and it is available to the public. All personnel are requested to know and conform to this policy.
