Ditaş Tankers' New Vessel T. Tarabya Launched
T. Tarabya, the second of two 12,000 DWT oil/chemical tanker vessels built by RMK Marine, one of Türkiye's leading shipyards, for the fleet of Ditaş Tankers, has been successfully launched.
The 125-meter in length T. Tarabya Oil/Chemical Tanker has been designed by Delta Marine with a focus on high safety standards, operational efficiency, and cargo flexibility. Equipped with modern systems, the vessel has been developed for global chemical transportation operations with its infrastructure compliant with international maritime standards, advanced technical capabilities, and the flexibility to meet diverse operational requirements.
Reflecting on the latest progress in the vessel's building journey, RMK Marine General Manager Dr. Utku Alanç stated: "We have successfully completed another significant milestone within the scope of this important project. We believe that T. Tarabya, built to the highest engineering standards, will add value to the industry through its operational performance and advanced technological infrastructure. By developing solutions that support energy efficiency and emission reduction, we aim to contribute to the sustainable transformation of the maritime industry. We will continue to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for the Turkish maritime industry."
Driving the Future of Turkish Maritime Industry
Following the launch of T. Florya, T. Tarabya represents another important component of Ditaş Tankers' fleet renewal and expansion strategy.
Commenting on the launch of T. Tarabya, Ditaş Tankers General Manager Çağatay Ölken stated:
"Following T. Florya, we are proud to see T. Tarabya — our second vessel, built with RMK Marine's strong engineering capabilities and set to serve with Ditaş's deep-rooted operational experience — meet the sea as well. With this step, taken in line with our goals for lower-emission and highlyenergy-efficient maritime transportation, we are both rejuvenating our fleet and increasing our operational capacity. With the addition of our tanker T.Riva, which recently joined our fleet, we have secured our position as the largest Turkish-flagged tanker fleet, and we are now further strengthening that standing with the addition of T.Tarabya. With T. Tarabya joining our fleet, the number of vessels in our fleet will reach 20. In doing so, we will not only increase our capacity but also continue to represent the Turkish flag across a wider geography with high operational standards and a strong sense of responsibility. I would like to thank all of RMK Marine's engineering and production teams, and our colleagues who contributed their efforts to this project, for this valuable collaboration."
