As DİTAŞ Deniz İşletmeciliği ve Tankerciliği A.Ş., care is taken to carry out environmentally friendly operations in parallel with our policy in our ships and head office, planned drills are periodically carried out to increase the environmental awareness of the personnel with the goal of zero environmental pollution and to prepare for emergencies, especially for the prevention of marine pollution. Care is taken to take the necessary measures to keep waste to a minimum level, to carry out controls, to prevent leakages, and the wastes generated are collected separately in appropriate categories within the scope of MARPOL Annex-1 and Annex-5 and delivered to licensed waste acceptance facilities.
The use of natural resources is monitored on a monthly basis by keeping the necessary records, and attention is paid to keeping them at optimum levels. In our purchases/investments, care is taken to purchase long-lasting and environmentally friendly products by considering the life cycle. It is aimed to complete the processes of completing the life cycle of the ships from new construction and recycling them in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and other requirements, without causing environmental damage.
The environmental impacts of our activities are evaluated and environmental risk analyses are conducted to keep important environmental aspects under control.
National and international environmental legislation is constantly monitored and necessary compliance studies are carried out.
