Women Seafarer Scholarship

With the Women Seafarers Success Scholarship Program, which we launched in cooperation with the Vehbi Koç Foundation in order to support women's employment in the maritime sector, we show women's leadership at sea. If you are ranked in the top 100 thousand in the Turkish Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) in 2024, you can benefit from this scholarship for 4 years, including the preparatory class + 4 years, by choosing the "Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering" or "Marine Engineering" departments of the maritime faculties of universities. You will also have the opportunity to do internships on Ditaş ships and have employment priority. VKV success scholarship conditions for female students with contributions from Ditaş

Requirements for VKV success scholarship for female students with contributions from Ditaş:

• Being a Turkish Citizen
• New enrollees in higher education: Being a female student ranked in the first 100.000 according to the SCIENCE-BASED score type in YKS (Selection will be made according to the score ranking and Interview score without department quota),
• To prefer maritime faculty departments (Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering or Marine Engineering),
• No older than 25 years of age,
• No conviction
• Not having been disciplined for a disgraceful act while studying,
• In order to continue receiving the scholarship in the following years, the grade point average of the graduated class must be at least 2,50 in universities with a 4.00 grade point average (at least 62,5 in universities with a 100 grade point average). Otherwise, the merit scholarship will be terminated.
• Interview scores and interview notes will be taken into account during the evaluation of applications.
• If registration suspension is performed throughout the education period, scholarship opportunities can not be provided.
